I woke up one day this last week so sour and upset by anything and everything that I am certain an accurate drawing of me would have looked exactly like that dude plastered on a Lemon Heads candy box (the old logo, not the new one, the kinder, gentler one).

Man, is he ugly or what?

The only difference between the old Mr. Lemon Head and me -- he's not really real. I am. At least, I am supposed to be.

You know the guy I'm talking about?

But the sad truth is when we suck like a Lemon Head dude, whether inside or out, we are not really being real. We may think we are real, we may feel real, and we might even be pretty good at justifying why it is okay to be a selfish sour puss or jack ass some days, but the truth is that's a lie from the father of lies himself. Truth be told -- and Jesus said the truth will set us free - when we wake up with a bad attitude, we are being controlled by spiritual forces that are in control of faculties of ours which they have no authority over.

We have a choice to make. We also have a role and responsibility. The Bible gives us explicit instructions on how to combat being a sour puss or a Lemon Head. See below:

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [11] Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. [13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. [16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [18] And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

By Marijo Phillips

A fellow writer recently posted a piece about an armed robber going into a store with a gun drawn and encountering the owner of the store and a customer. The owner boldly told him, "In the name of Jesus, I command you to get out of my store," He demanded they lay down on the floor. They did not but kept telling him to leave. He got agitated and left. Fear led to boldness, and using her authority in the name above all names, Jesus Christ.

Bear suddenly appearing, healthy fear flight/ fight adrenalin reaction within our bodies
Mick and I were hiking in the middle of nowhere. Actually it was oil company property which had just been opened as State Trust Land during a few months of the year. We were in right after it opened up. This means that with the exception of a few oil pipeline crew members no people had been there for years. Pristine, wilderness, remote are just a few of the descriptive words which come to mind in painting a picture of Bosque del Oso, which means Forest of the bear, that should have been our first clue. We were totally enjoying the wilderness smelling of intense pine aroma with a gentle breeze blowing. The weather being perfect for a long hike , we were trying to find a small lake we'd seen on the topographical map.

Suddenly I spotted a bear. I screamed "bear", not too bright since my nickname for Mick is Mr. Bear or Cinnamon Bear from the days when he was a red head. He kind of glanced at me and noticed I was walking really fast, backward up the hill we had just come down. Then he spotted her. She had a "cub" whose rear end was just about as big as hers and she was slapping that rear end up a tree in front of us.

"Get back here and draw your pistol for Pete's sake quit running, she'll chase you."

"I am NOT running, I'm walking fast."

We both drew our guns and started walking backwards up the hill. She looked at the tree. Popped her jaws and began charging us, then seemed to remember "baby" and ran back to the tree. Soon she went into the woods behind the tree. We could guess she was circling around to come at us from behind. Pretty soon she was back at the tree.

Terror doesn't begin to describe what kind of fear I had. We get the outdoors magazines. We have seen the photos of what brown bears can do to a human body. We were looking at TWO brown bears, one for each of us. This was not the lion's den. We were not here because we refused to bow down to the King's edict. We never shot the guns - good thing as she would have probably felt threatened on the baby's behalf and taken care of us.

We got out of the area leaving mama and "baby Huey" behind.

Was our fear good? Yep, kept us from wanting to get closer and take her picture, SMART fear. I don't think I was prepared to become bear lunch. However, I am not sure what would have happened if we'd taken authority in Jesus name and told her to leave, that didn't occur to either of us at the time.

Daniel was in the lion's den. I imagine he had a healthy fear of the lions. He didn't fear the king or what he could do to Daniel, but rather, trusted in his King (God). He would worship no one else and his prayers to God got him thrown in the loin's den. Did God give those lions a full tummy so they weren't interested? Did He send angles to hold their mouths shut? Did he give them a sudden craving for "salad bar" and an aversion to "meat"? We don't know all those details - BUT Daniel was saved alive.

Fear of the Lord is another kind of "smart" fear.

Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (NKJV)

This scripture doesn't say we will not have tough or troubling times but that the Lord will go through them with us. If we panic and get consumed by fears and "what ifs" does that show we are trusting God at His Word? I don't think so. We can lean on this scripture during those times, especially the "I will fear no evil" part.

Another scripture comes to mind about Jesus being with us to the end of the age.

Does that mean that God will be with or us abandon us during tough times? Knowing some of His promises and even repeating them out loud helps us get them internalized. God doesn't forget, but I wonder how often we do and need this reminder.
One of my favorite quotes from my husband is "God is ABLE and we, well, we are but dust."

That doesn't give us an excuse but a head's up so we can be ready when the tough times come. Let's get into the Word and get ready!

Is FEAR looming Like a horrible storm on your horizon there is help?

What if I have an accident on the wintry roads? What if I lose my job? What if my husband gets laid off? What if the kids get a horrible disease? What if someone is breaking into the house tonight?

We get to be really good at "what if-ing" if we aren't careful. I am sure the enemy will whisper some of these ideas in our ears if we aren't thinking them up ourselves. Is that your focus? Is that where your mind naturally goes?

"Perfect Love casts out all fear." My word picture might not be the intended meaning of this portion of scripture but it was very powerful for me. Who/what is perfect love? God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit are perfect love. God is love and there can be no one more perfect than God. The picture that came to me is my most powerful savior coming on my behalf and taking those dark, ominous storm clouds replete with lightening, thunder and throwing death at me. God came and cast them out, away from me to a place where they could no longer impact me, not with one tiny sprinkle or shiver. Jesus did it and they were gone!

Then I thought of the times recorded where Jesus was taken by the Holy Spirit (yes, the Holy Spirit) into the wilderness.

How did our Lord, savior and prime example respond? "It is written." And he quoted God's Word to Satan over and over.

Apparently Satan can argue with you and me but he cannot argue with God's Word. It looks like that is a sure fire way to get the enemy to hush up and leave. All we need to do is have a stockpile of ammunition ready (God's word memorized or maybe even a topical book of promises if you haven't memorized yet) and use it.

When you are fearful, aren't you really saying that your God is not big enough for your circumstances? Or that the promises he makes in the Bible are for someone else but not really for you? Knowing these scriptures helps you to see what he has promised on your behalf and to get them into your heart and mind so they are ready when you need them.

We are encouraged to submit to God and resist the enemy and the enemy will go.That is a most powerful promise! It doesn't say he might flee, or maybe in a couple of days he will go. It says he WILL flee from you. I think the key is not our spouting off at him or ranting and raving but being submitted to God. Realizing HE has done it all on our behalf and taking Him at His Word.
Here is the kind of fear we are to have, this and only this fear:

1 Samuel 12:24
Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. (NKJV)

Maybe you can think back to recent times when things looked impossible, you were afraid and God came through on your behalf in a creative and unexpected way. It never hurts to review those times of His faithfulness.

Now let's take a look at His Word. There are many scriptures which speak of God's promises and would help you stand against ungodly fear.

Will we never have troubles or times of trial? NO, but God will be right there with us, walking us through so that we are able to "fear no evil".

David in the Bible had much to fear in the natural. King Saul pursued him and tried to kill him over and over. David, in spite of his choices and sin, chose to believe God and God's plan for his life. His trust is reflected in many, many of his writings in Psalms. They are there today for us to think upon and hang onto in our stormy times.

Another most powerful weapon against fear is prayer, communication with the Lord Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to seek Him, talk to Him and that He will deliver us from our fears.

Have you ever noticed that the enemy cannot stand to hear the praises of God? During a worship service or when you praise him privately? He usually leaves. Praise is also a big weapon against fear. Worship songs or choruses or scripture that you sing.

When I "what-if" I am really saying that my God isn't quite big enough to handle the problem. I know from His Word that is not true and I know from experience. There is something about declaring that out loud too. There is really no better way than saying "it is written" and quoting a scripture which applies to your situation and circumstance.

We can truly be over comers with the help of the Lord Jesus.

By Shirley Williams

(Notes)

II Timothy, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear (timidity, cowardice, fearfulness), but of power (dunamis-might, strength, miraculous), and of love (agape), and of a sound mind (self-control).”

Luke 9:1-2, “Then He called His twelve disciples together, and gave them power (dunamis) and
authority (exousia) over all devils (demons), and to cure diseases.”

Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power (exousia-authority) to tread (to crush under your feet-to advance by setting your foot upon)on serpents (cunning, wisdom, the devil) and scorpions, and over ALL the power (dunamis-might, miraculous) of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When you have been going through a crisis, have you ever had well-meaning people tell you, “You need to get a ‘handle’ on this thing or you’re going to crack up.” How’s that for encouraging prophetic words spoken over you? These well-meaning people are trying to say that you need to “handle” the fear and worry associated with the present circumstances you’re facing. They’re saying you need to tolerate fear--learn to live with it. After all, its just a normal part of every day life, they imply.

Wait a minute! The Word of God says we have not been given a spirit of fear/worry. We have been given the dunamis, miracle working, mighty power of the Holy Ghost to use self-control, while allowing the agape love of God to cast out fear/worry. Thus, we have freedom from fear now and thats normal for the child of God. Anything else is a lie of the devil meant to deceive and hold you captive. Amen.

1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love, but perfect (mature) love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.”

We are not to learn to ‘cope’ with fear, handle it or tolerate living with it. We are to take authority over it in the name of Jesus and by His power, put it down under out feet. Fear has no authority over the born again child of almighty God, unless we give it authority. We have been delivered from fear when Jesus went to the cross. Therefore, we resist fear in the power and authority of Jesus name. The Word of God assures us that when we do this by our faith, fear has to flee. It has no other choice but to run from you and me!

James 4:7, “Submit yourselves unto God, resist the devil and he will flee from you!”

Praise the Lord! We can go about our daily walk with the Lord fear free if we will believe what the Word says, and if we will act on it in faith and confess it out of our mouths as truth. Amen.

How does fear come? Fear comes from the outside and tries to work its way inward into your thinking so you will have a reaction to it on the outside, i.e., wringing your hands, walking the floor, confessing it, that is talking about fears and worries to yourself or others, etc. The devil wants to corrupt your belief system and get you to release fear with your mouth so he can bring to pass what you‘re confessing.

It isn’t easy for God to work in our behalf when we’ve charged the atmosphere with our fear and unbelief. But satan can and does operate in this kind of atmosphere. That’s the kind of atmosphere he needs. He doesn’t operate in the faith arena, but God does. Our confession of faith is what moves God to act on our behalf.

The devil works through the five senses--touch, taste, smell, hear, and see. He moves on the outside in these five arena’s to get us to take fear inside our belief system and then confess the fear we believe with our mouths so he can “steal, kill and destroy” (John 10:10).

If you have an ailment and there is pain or discomfort but you’re believing to receive God’s covenant promise of healing, the devil is there to convince you that you’re either not healed, or God heals others but not you. He will also tell you to “touch” that place of sickness (a sore, tumor, lump, etc.) to see if its gone. This is to raise doubt in your mind---did God really heal me?

If the lump, etc. isn’t completely gone yet, the devil is quick to point out that he was right, God hasn’t healed you. The devil is a liar! (John 8:44). God’s promises are “yes and amen.” That means, you are already healed (Isaiah 53:5--1 Pet.2:24--Isaiah 57:19) and you just need to exercise your faith to believe and receive it.

Faith believes what you can’t see and calls it to come forth and manifest in the natural (Romans 4:17). Satan works the same way with the other four senses of taste, smell, hear and see as well to get the Christian into fear and unbelief.

You hear some people say, “Seeing is believing.” Or, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” This is not faith. Faith says, “I believe it (God’s promise) whether I can see it or not.” Faith believes before you ever see the manifestation of what you believe.

Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.” Believing before you see the manifested results is faith. Amen.

If you take fear inside, that is, you believe a lie the devil tells you, into your mind and your belief system, then fear will begin speaking to you from the inside. It will be like a running tape in your mind continually repeating the lie(s) of satan, designed to immobilize you and put you in bondage to fear.

Fear will keep you from moving out in your calling and destiny in God. It will keep your dreams and visions buried in the deep recesses of your heart where they’re never allowed to be birthed and bless the Kingdom of God. Glory to God, we’ve not received the spirit of bondage again but of freedom in the Holy Ghost. Praise the Lord, we are free in Christ Jesus!

NO FEAR IN LOVE:

As a believer in Christ Jesus, we can’t afford to let our mind wander wherever it wants to because if we do, in one second flat, we will be worrying about something or someone. If fear and worry is a part of your life today, I dare say you hardly notice it. Why? Because you’ve learned to tolerate it. This means, you’re in the habit of operating in fear instead of faith.

The Bible says, faith works by love (Gal.5:6) and perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Therefore, if you’re abiding in the love of God, and your belief system is operating in and by faith, then you are at rest. You’re in peace. You’re resting in the love of God by faith and in that love lives no fear.

All worry is fear-based and fear is attached to satan, who is the author of it. The Bible says that “whatever is not of faith is sin”(Romans 14:23). There is no Bible faith in fear, therefore, fear, worry, anxiety is sin.If you haven’t already realized this truth, then hearing it now for the first time will jerk your spiritual eyes wide open. In the time we’re living in today, we all need the truth of God to shake us awake. Amen.

After the fall, the first thing Adam said to God in response to His call was, “I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid...” (Gen.3:10). Instead of Adam and Eve operating in the God kind of faith as they had before, their faith had now become twisted fear.

Romans 8:15, “For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption whereby you cry, Abba, Father.”

Hebrews 2:14-15, “For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had
(past tense) the power (Greek--kratos (krat’-os)--dominion, a mighty deed, force, work of power) of death, that is, the devil,
15-And deliver (set free) them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

All bondage is connected to fear. But thank God, Jesus has set us free from the bondage of fear and for the child of God, there is no fear in death. It’s appointed unto man once to die, but the Bible says, “O death, where is your sting? O grave where is your victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law” (1 Corinthians 15:55-56).

Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are you saved through faith, and not of yourselves lest any man should boast. It is the gift of God.”

If we are forgiven of sin, saved by God’s grace through our faith, then there is no sting of death for the Christian. We have “victory in Jesus, our Savior forever” like the old hymn of the church says. Hallelujah! Jesus paid the debt of sin in full on the cross for all people and when He had done so, He declared, “It is finished.”

Listen to what Jesus says in Revelation 1:18, when He appeared to John on the island of Patmos--- “I am He that lives, and was dead: and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen, and I have the keys of hell and of death.”

In Christ, there is no more death and in Him, we live--we move and breathe and have our being (Acts 17:28). Amen! For the unsaved person who rejects the Holy Spirit’s call to salvation, there is spiritual death in hell. A place of horror that was created for the devil and his fallen angels. It was never created for mankind.

It’s this simple---all those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, there is no more fear of death in any shape or form. There is only life and peace. For all those who choose to reject Jesus Christ and choose instead to follow the devil, there is death and torment. They will spend all eternity with him in his appointed domain---an eternal hell that burns with fire.

The best and wisest choice you could ever make in your lifetime, if you haven’t made it already is to do as God says,
Romans 10:9, 10 &13, “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10-For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
13-For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

That is God’s promise and He’s not a man that He should lie. So, if you need salvation, believe and call on the Lord Jesus Christ today and be saved. Once you do, you can rest in faith and peace because you’re abiding in the love of the Father where there is no fear. Praise the Lord!

FAITH STRUGGLES:

All struggling with faith in order to receive from God is a fear battle. All struggling to receive healing, or struggling in the area of finances is a fear battle. Fear in one form or another will cause you to struggle. Have you gone to someone in church to say hello, how are you, only to have them respond with, “Well, I’m struggling right now, etc., pray for me.” You know instantly that it’s not a faith issue they’re struggling with, it’s a fear struggle. Faith and fear is at war, if you will.

We have the same faith as Jesus has, the Bible says so in Romans 12:3, “...every man has been dealt the measure of faith.” Mark 11:22, “Have faith in God.” We have the God kind of faith and we’re encouraged to put it to use because “faith pleases God” (Hebrews 11:6). The difference is in how Jesus used His faith and how we use our’s. Faith never has a failure. The faith of God, the love of God, the hope of God absolutely cannot fail. Fear is failure going somewhere to happen.

The failure comes because we’re operating in fear instead of faith and when we do, it shuts down heavens supply so that we don’t receive what God has provided for us in the blood covenant. It’s not that God is trying to withhold anything from us. He’s trying every way He can to get His provisions to us. God waits for us to get up out of the failure, shake off discouragement, get some new revelation of the Word and have a go at it again. Amen!

FEAR OF DEATH:

II Timothy 1:9-10, “Who has saved us and has called us with a godly calling, not according to our works, but according to HIs own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the world began,
10-But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ who has (past tense) abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

The authority of death has been removed because Jesus destroyed it forever. Your spirit is never going to die. It will die spiritually if you’re not saved by the grace of God. If this happens, you will be forever separated from the presence of God. If you are saved, then you are spiritually alive and at the moment of death, you, as a spirit, won’t be separated from God for eternity. It will be as Paul said, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”(II Corinthians 5:8). You will live with Him for all eternity. Praise the Lord of glory!

Satan does not have the right to kill you, unless you give him permission. He doesn’t have the right to evict you, as a spirit, out of your body, unless you give him permission by confessing fear and death.
“Oh, this thing or that thing nearly kills me.
My children are just killing me.
“That scares me to death
Tickles me to death
Heights scare me to death, etc.”

There is no faith in these kinds of statements. Only fear, unbelief and death.

Satan doesn’t have the right to cause you to leave your body (housing) before you decide its time. Paul wanted to leave his body and go on home to be with Jesus, yet he felt the need to stay and help the church body. He finally decided to stay “for your sakes.” He would have went on home to be with the Lord if that’s what he had chose to do.

For the last two or three years, I’ve been declaring to the enemy that my life is none of his business because I don’t belong to him. I belong to God and the business of my life belongs to my heavenly Father and myself. If you belong to God and He’s your Father, then your life is no longer any of the devil’s business. And you can tell him so in Jesus name.

People don’t have to fear death because death has been destroyed forever by Jesus Christ. Amen.

Luke 1:73-75, “The oath which He sware to our father Abraham,
74-that He should grant unto us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear,
75-in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.”

Instead of living in and by fear, we are called of God to live in and by faith (Hebrews 10:38)---
“the just shall live by faith.” I encourage you this day to have faith in the life of God instead of expressing faith in fear. Have and express faith in the Words of God that becomes life to those who find them (Proverbs 4:20-23). Jesus, the Son of God, is the life (John 14:6). He is the living word (John 1:14), and in Him we put our faith because in Him is life, not death.

John 10:10, “The thief (satan) comes but for to steal, kill and to destroy, but I (Jesus) am come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly (in excess).”

Refering again to 1 John 4:18, “no fear in love...perfect love casts out fear...”, the love of God is where we find rest and peace through faith. Fears of all kinds, fear of death, a worried mind, all of it brings torment, resulting in no peace. All fear is related to the fear of death. Listed below is three main areas of fear that people struggle with:

fear of death
fear of people
fear of poverty

All of these and more comes to torment your mind like a tyrant master. But the good news is, the Word of God is Master over all death and the fear of it. Hallelujah!

Have you ever heard some people say, “Well now, a little fear is normal you know.” The Bible says, whatever is not of faith is sin (Rom.14:23). Fear is sin because it says, ‘God, I don’t trust You to take care of me.’ To agree with the lie of the devil that says a “little sin” is normal, don’t worry about it, is foolish. What does God say about it?

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” I don’t think we can ever entertain the thought that a little fear (sin) is normal in the Kingdom of God.

So, what are we to do?
At the first sign of worry, fear, etc., take authority over and counteract it with the love of God. Confess God’s love over you:
“My Father loves me so much that He gave Jesus to save me from sin.
My Father loves me and accepts me in the beloved Jesus.
I am thoroughly loved by my Father.
My Father delights in me. I am a joy to His heart, etc.”

Don’t stop declaring the love of God until fear is flushed out of your belief system. For in the embrace of Father God’s love, you won’t be able to hear the ‘voice of fear’ and respond to it.

UNFIEGNED FAITH:

All sin is selfish and selfishness is based in fear. Why does the dog growl when you come near his food dish? Because he fears that you’re going to take something precious away from him--his food. People express anger toward others because they fear being abused/hurt, etc. In so many ways, people protect themselves from others in all kinds of situations because of fear.

Love gives unselfishly because there is no fear. This says that it’s time for each of us to “stir up the gift of God (love) that is within us and abide therein so fear is kicked out quick. (II Tim.1:6), for God has not given us the spirit of fear (II Tim.1:7).

II Timothy 1:5, “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned (real) faith that is in you (Paul talking to Timothy), which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that is in you also.”

Every Sunday morning before coming to church, people will make sure that they have their “face” on. Their “faith masks” on, religiously saying all the right things because it sounds spiritual. Behind the mask, you will find a faulty belief system being housed within and based on fear. God’s people are dealing with all kinds of past problems that they need to learn by faith how to be set free from them and go forward to fulfill their God called destiny.

Embarressment/shame that is based in fear is one of the main problems that all people in and out of church are trying to cope with. People will either say or think these kinds of things about themselves and others:

What will people think about me?
What will they say/think about the way I look? I can’t go in there with what I have to wear.
I don’t look right.
I don’t talk right.
I don’t come from the right side of town.
I’m from the wrong culture.
My skins the wrong color.
My daddy was no good.

And the list goes on and on. The world’s word for these kinds of statements is self-consciousness. It’s another form of selfishness that is based in fear.

So, what do we do?
We resist this fear and we develop and practice love in all these and other areas of need.
We believe by faith that God accepts us as His child (Eph.1:6).
He looks at each one of us that are born again through the blood of Jesus. That blood that cleanses us from all sin--all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

The biggest thing about fear is afraid. Isn’t this what Adam said to God’s call to him in the garden? “I was afraid?“ That fear came from satan because he is fear himself.

Resist the spirit of fear in Jesus name and it has to go.
Release faith and love against it according to the word of God.
Get fear out of your speech in whatever form you’re in the habit of speaking it.
Stop saying such things as:

I’m afraid
That just kills me
Scares me to death
I’m just dying to go

Another expression of fear and unbelief is “what if...?” It is to express doubt and unbelief that God is Who He says He is and that He is capable of taking care of you in all areas of need.

Choose today to stop speaking words of death and cursing over yourself and those close to you out of fear and unbelief.
Begin speaking faith, hope and love words that bring life and blessing. (Deut.30:19).

The word unfeigned means, a “false front.” Feigned holiness and righteousness. Feigned faith. Feigned love---holding up a false front because of fear. Goes back to the question, “What will others think of me?” It’s not a matter of importance as to what others think of you or me. More importantly, it’s what God thinks and says about you and me that counts, and He says, “You are My workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works...”(Eph.2:10). Praise the Lord! We were created to succeed, not fail.

DENY FEAR ANY RIGHTS:

As children of God, we’re not to deny reality, for that would be foolish but rather, we need to exercise our faith to allow the word to over-ride circumstances and cause them to no longer exist. When you do this the world says you’re in denial but the Bible calls it “resistance” (James 4:7).

What am I saying we do?
I’m saying that it’s time to take a stand in the power of the anointing and in Jesus name. We make faith declarations:
I deny sickness and disease the right to attach itself to my body.
I deny fear the right to be a part of my life any longer.
I deny sin the right to dominate my life.
Thank You, Jesus for setting me free.

Rom.8:2-3, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made (past tense) me free from the law of sin and death.
3-For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.”

We can now live fear-free of sickness, disease and pain. It’s all been dumped into hell because Jesus bore our sickness and carried our diseases in His own body to the cross of Calvary, and by His stripes we were (we are) healed (Isaiah 53:5). Praise God! He bore our pain.

When a pain hits your body, do you realize how concentrated your thoughts are on it? How focused your thoughts are on the pain? What happens when you’re asleep? You’re not aware of it unless it’s an extreme pain somewhere in your body that wakes you. God’s Word will work if we will only set our focus and concentration on it instead of pain.

You might say, but thats hard to do. Yes, it is but its not impossible to do because God said, nothing is impossible to us when we have the faith to believe.

“Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes” (Mark 9:23).

We are so prone to concentrating on any symptoms of sickness that hits our bodies that we forget, the symptoms are just an indicator of the ‘cause.’ The Lord instructs us in His Word to go to the root, to--- “root out.” In the natural, the root system of a fruit tree is what causes that tree to bear either good or bad fruit. Unless we attack the root cause of any sickness that tries to attach itself to our bodies and root it out, the symptoms will keep coming back. Once the root has been eradicated by the Word and the blood of Jesus, the symptoms disappear. Hallelujah! The root cause won’t go away by setting our focus on the symptoms.

So, what do we do?
We fight wrong thoughts with the word of God and we confess the truth out of our mouths. We make faith declarations:
“Thank you, Father God, for sending Jesus to take all sickness and disease from me.
Thank you that Jesus bore it all for me on the cross and I’m free from sickness.
Thank you, Lord, that I am pain-free.
By faith, I declare that I have no pain.
I deny pain any right to be in my body in Jesus name.”
Give God praise and thanksgiving.

It would be wonderful if Christian’s didn’t have to suffer one more day in our walk with the Lord, but Jesus said, in this world, we would have tribulation. Spiritual suffering is resisting the pressure of everything Jesus bore on the cross for us---sin, sickness and disease, poverty, etc.

So, what do we do?
We make faith declarations!
We resist the pressure with our confession of the Word of God, the blood, the name of Jesus, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. At the very same time we’re resisting satan’s pressure designed to keep us from receiving our rightful inheritance of covenant blessings and provisions, we’re receiving. At the same time you’re resisting sickness, you’re receiving healing.

The Bible says, “You will reap in due season if you faint not (don’t stop resisting the pressure)--Galatians 6:9.

Remember, we have been made free, “for whom the Son sets free is free indeed” (John 8:36). Therefore, we can rightfully and truthfully declare:
“I am a free woman!”
“I am a free man!”

This is so because “the Spirit of life has made us free from the law of sin and death.”

With faith and confidence in your loving Father and His Word, you can boldly declare that no more fear is tolerated here! Praise the Lord!

It’s more vital than ever before that we learn to enter into the rest of God. The rest of God is based on the finished works of Jesus before the foundation of the world. How do we enter into this rest? By faith. It’s the rest of faith. It’s to “rest in faith.”

Keep in mind that there is no failure in faith. There is no such thing as faith that won’t work, even the tiny mustard seed kind. In fact, that’s all you need in order to move mountains. Amen! Faith will work every time, any place and for anyone who will use the measure of faith that God has given (Romans 12:3). Use your faith and declare:

Thank God, I’m free from fear.
I’ve been delivered from the spirit of fear and I now abide in Love.
By the blood of Jesus, I declare that I am free indeed.
Thank You, Jesus, it’s so good to be free from fear.

“Submit yourselves unto God, resist the devil and he will flee (run) from you” (James 4:7).

Amen! Faith will work everytime, any place and for anyone who will use the measure of faith that God has given (Romans 12:3).
